Tournament format

Qualification 

6 games entries and re-entries 

52 athletes are qualified from Category A-G as follows: 

A: General qualification 

Athletes positioned 1-40 in the general qualification. 

B: Early Bird Competition 

Athletes positioned 1-4 in a separate standing for Squad 1-10. 

C: Senior Competition 

Senior athletes are born in 1974 or earlier. 

The highest and second highest positioned in a separate standing for Senior athletes. 

D: U21 Competition 

U21 athletes are born in 2003 or later. 

The highest and second highest positioned in a separate standing for U21 athletes. 

E: Women Competition 

The highest and second highest positioned in a separate standing for Women athletes. 

F: Turbo-5 

The athlete scoring the highest game in game 5. 

G: Turbo-6 

The athlete scoring the highest game in game 6. 

Athletes are qualified in the order A-B-C-D-E-F-G. 

The 52 athletes are qualified to final steps as follows 

Athletes positioned 1-22 in the general standing are qualified for the Final Step 2. Athletes positioned 27-40 in the general standing are qualified for the Final Step 1. All other 12 qualified athletes are qualified for the Final Step 1. 

Final Step 1 

30 athletes are playing 6 games starting from scratch. 

Top 14 are qualified for the Final Step 2. 

Athletes not qualified are ranked 41-52 according to their position in Step 1. 

Final Step 2 

36 athletes are playing 6 games starting from scratch. 

Top 16 are qualified for the Final Step 3. 

Athletes not qualified are ranked 17-40 according to their position in Step 2. 

Final Step 3 

16 athletes are playing one three-game total score match.  

Match #1: Position 1 vs position 16.  

Match #2: Position 2 vs position 15. 

Match #3: Position 3 vs position 14.

Winners advance to semi finals 

Losers are ranked 5th. 

Semi finals 

The winners from step 4 are playing one game total score match. 

Semi final 1: Winner match #9 vs winner match #12 

Semi final 2: Winner match #10 vs winner match #11 

Losers are ranked 3rd. 

Final match 

The winners from the semi finals are playing one game total score match. Final: Winner Semi final 1 vs winner semi final 2 

The winner of the match will be ranked 1.  

If the winner is a member of the PBA, a PBA National Tour Title will be awarded to the win ner.  

Loser is ranked 2nd.

Tournament tie rules

Qualification 

The highest positioned athlete will be the athlete scoring the highest last game. If a tie still  exists, the highest positioned athlete will be the athlete with the highest second last game  etc. 

Turbo Competitions 

The highest positioned athlete will be the highest positioned athlete after the qualification. 

Ties for prize money positions in final steps 

Athletes with tied scores at final tournament positions inside any of the following two groups of positions, 17-40, 41-52, will share the sum of prize money for the tied positions equally among them. 

Final Step 1-4, semi final & final 

Ties influencing who will qualify for the next final step will be broken by playing a 9th and  10th frame roll off, repeated until the tie is broken. Ties within top 16 in final step 2 are bro ken by highest last game.

Re-entries not cancelled 60 before will be cancelled, and all  other re-entry reservations for that athlete will be cancelled 

Registration deadline 

1 hour for entries and 30 minutes for re-entries
